REQUIREMENTS
In order to complete this tutorial successfully the following items are required. Please ensure to have these items available before taking implementation action on this tutorial:
1) VMware Fusion 11.0 or newer
2) A VMware Fusion virtual machine
3) A MacOS administrator user account.
OVERVIEW
1) Restart your MacOS and try to start the VMware Fusion virtual machine. If presented with the “Could not open /dev.vmmon: broken pipe ” error message proceed to step 2.
2) Go to system preferences and open the SECURITY AND PRRIVACY settings. Change settings to allow VMware Fusion to run on the GENERAL and PRIVACY tabs
3) Open the VMware Fusion virtual machine library and try to start the virtual machine again.
Step 1: Restart Your Mac
1) Start by restarting your apple Mac computer by clicking on the APPLE icon on the menu bar and selecting the RESTART option.

2) Once the Mac powers back on, login using an administrator account, open VMware Fusion and try to power on the virtual machine. If the “Could not open /dev.vmmon: broken pipe ” error message happens again proceed to the next step.
