How to Turn On A Windows Or Linux Computer USING Wake-On-LAN (WOL)

Wake On LAN (WOL) is a very handy feature as this allows you to remotely administer any computer with WOL support, as long as if that computer has network access and connected to a power source. To power on a device, WOL uses a specific network packet containing the MAC address of the destination network computer. If the magic packet matching the MAC address of a device is received by a target computer, that PC is turned on.
